About The Position

The Autism Teacher will be responsible for providing specialized instruction and support to students with autism spectrum disorder. This role involves developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs), managing classroom behavior, collaborating with parents and other professionals, and assessing student progress. The teacher will create a structured and supportive learning environment to help students achieve their academic, social, and emotional goals.

Requirements

Valid Nevada Teaching License with an endorsement in Special Education.
Experience working with students with autism spectrum disorder.
Knowledge of evidence-based practices for teaching students with autism.
Ability to develop and implement IEPs.
Strong classroom management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with a team.
Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field.

Nice To Haves

Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
Experience with specific autism intervention strategies (e.g., ABA, TEACCH).
Bilingual skills (English/Spanish).
