About The Position

Northeast Family Services is seeking an Autism Specialist Professional / Behavior Therapist to join their growing New Hampshire team. This is a Fee For Service (FFS) position, allowing for a part-time schedule that can be built around the employee's availability. The Autism Specialist Professional is responsible for implementing behavior support plans to reduce problematic behaviors and providing ABA-based instruction to foster skill development, all under the guidance of a supervising BCBA. Key duties include monitoring client behavior, collecting and reporting data on behavior and skill acquisition, and collaborating with the supervising BCBA (in-person or via telehealth) and the client's family to support positive behavioral changes.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or a GED
• At least two years of experience working with persons with developmental disabilities
• At least 18 years of age
• Pass a criminal background check
• Valid driver’s license with reliable and consistent access to a vehicle
• Availability to work after school and evening hours
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• A compassionate approach to care
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Access to a laptop or CPS, high speed secure internet, and a phone required

Nice To Haves

• Experience in applied settings implementing behavioral interventions preferred

Responsibilities

• Implementation of clients’ behavior support plans to decrease problematic behavior
• Provision of ABA-based instruction to promote development of new skills, at the direction of their supervising BCBA
• Monitor client behavior
• Collect data on client behavior and skill acquisition
• Report the data back to supervising BCBA
• Work collaboratively with the supervising BCBA, either in-person or via a telehealth modality, and the client’s family, to support meaningful changes in client behavior
