About The Position

Maltby Centre is the lead regional agency for Mental Health and Autism Services, providing high quality, community-based health and support services to children and youth in Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox & Addington (KFL&A). The Autism Services Therapist provides individual, and group applied behaviour analysis-based programs for assigned children and youth with autism to develop skills in key areas and address behaviours that interfere with functioning in collaboration with families and inter-professional team members. Support is also provided to children, youth, and their families to promote generalization and maintenance of skills across settings.

Requirements

Demonstrated knowledge of autism and child development and the ability to implement Applied Behaviour Analysis based programs.
Ability to comply with Maltby Centre driving policy and drive clients within the Kingston area.
Strong group facilitation skills with the ability to assess group dynamics and respond flexibly to various learning styles.

Nice To Haves

Behavioural Science Advanced Diploma Program and/or Autism and Behavioural Science Graduate Certificate or Honours bachelor's degree in psychology or other related discipline (e.g. Behavioural Psychology, Behavioural Science), preferred, or Child and Youth Worker Diploma with demonstrated knowledge of autism, child development, and Applied Behaviour Analysis.
Experience providing Applied Behaviour Analysis based programs, an asset.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
