About The Position
This role is an entry-level position that serves as the first step in a structured career path, potentially leading to a degree, promotion, and leadership opportunities. The work is performed in various settings, including homes, centers, and the community, following personalized plans. The role offers flexible scheduling and paid training, with no prior experience required as comprehensive training and support are provided. Success is measured by the positive impact on children's development and families' well-being, as well as the employee's professional growth through training and career milestones.
Requirements
- H.S. Diploma or GED
- Monday - Friday 3pm-8pm and Saturday 8am-1pm availability.
- Proof of vaccinations (MMR, Varicella, COVID – CA mandated)
- Reliable transportation
- Comfort working with diverse populations
- Willingness to complete training and documentation
- Ability to frequently sit and stand; keeping pace with your client
- Constant visual stimulation, including close vision, distance vision, reading, computer work
- Constant sitting; frequent up and down out of chair
- Constant use of telephone, speaking, listening
- Constant document handling, use of copier and fax machine, filing
- Frequent typing, use of computer
- Occasional walking around building
- Occasional bending, reaching, stooping, pulling
- Occasional lifting, carrying, moving of items up to 20 pounds
- Occasional walking to, bending to enter, sitting and using upper and lower limbs to drive car
