The Scheduler and Authorization Specialist is responsible for performing a variety of patient registration, scheduling, and insurance verification duties. This role involves answering phone calls from patients professionally and efficiently to register and schedule them, responding to routine inquiries regarding online and in-office scheduling, and driving requests, tracking, and obtaining pre-authorization from insurers within the allotted time for medical and therapy services. A significant understanding of benefits and prior authorization, along with excellent multitasking skills and attention to detail, are paramount to complete the many aspects of this role.
