About The Position
We are looking for a full-time Prior Authorization Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the key point of contact, ensuring patients have access to essential services and medications that require insurance prior authorization. As a Prior Authorization Specialist, you will handle the review and processing of prior authorization requests for outpatient services and admissions, focusing on eligibility and benefits. You will also work to resolve issues and provide guidance to both internal and external staff.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in the healthcare industry.
- Strong multitasking abilities.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Advanced computer proficiency.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a cardiology environment.
- Prior experience with the Medical Manager system.
- CPC certification.
Responsibilities
- Review and process prior authorization requests for outpatient services and admissions.
- Focus on eligibility and benefits for prior authorization requests.
- Resolve issues related to prior authorizations.
