This position is responsible for obtaining, documenting, verifying, and following up on insurance authorizations and eligibility for scheduled exams, consulting with supervisors on complex cases, and contacting insurance companies for prior authorization and predetermination. The role also involves checking insurance eligibility against carrier databases, maintaining CPT code authorization files, performing clerical duties, accurately entering data with CPT codes, and consulting with clinical staff as needed to ensure accuracy and workflow efficiency.
