Authorization Representative I - BioPlus Specialty Pharmacy
About The Position
BioPlus Specialty Pharmacy, a member of Elevance Health, provides specialty medications and personalized support to consumers and providers. The Authorization Representative I completes and submits forms for patients whose health plans require drug re-authorizations for different therapy types. The role enters and checks re-authorizations in portals, submits forms to insurance plans, tracks submissions, and follows up on approval or denial status. The position is hybrid, with associates required to work in-office 1–2 days per week. The listed office locations are Denver, Colorado, and Lake Mary, Florida. Candidates must live within reasonable commuting distance of a posting location unless an accommodation is granted. The schedule is Monday through Friday.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of experience processing pharmacy prior authorizations, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities
- Enter re-authorizations into portals and ensure re-authorization forms are completed accurately.
- Submit completed re-authorization forms to the appropriate insurance plans.
- Maintain a log of all submitted re-authorizations.
- Follow up with patients’ insurance companies or physician offices by phone, email, or spreadsheets to check approval or denial status.
