About The Position
Elara Caring is seeking an Authorization & Eligibility Insurance Specialist to support its home-care mission by helping ensure clients receive care at home. This role is remote in Connecticut, though travel to a branch may be needed. The position calls for strong knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial insurance, along with experience with authorizations and eligibility verification. Familiarity with behavioral health and medical terminology is also noted. The role is full-time. The posted annual base salary range is $41,600 to $57,000. Additional compensation may be available through performance-based bonuses, commissions, on-call pay, or other incentives; these are not guaranteed. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medicaid or insurance experience.
- Strong insurance knowledge, including Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial insurance.
- Authorization experience and experience verifying eligibility.
- Knowledge of behavioral health and medical terminology.
