About The Position
Ashe Memorial Hospital, voted Ashe’s Best Place to Work 2022 & 2023, is seeking a Full-Time Authorization and Eligibility Representative to join their award-winning team. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in a small community while working alongside Ashe’s top physicians, nurses, and staff. The position is on the 1st shift, Monday–Friday, with no nights or travel required. Pay is commensurate with experience, and benefits begin the first of the month following employment. The hospital has been recognized as Ashe’s Best Hospital, Best Surgeon, and Best Medical Practice.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and other required immunizations
- Criminal background check and drug screen required
Nice To Haves
- 1+ year healthcare experience preferred
- Insurance authorization experience a plus
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Responsibilities
- Obtain and validate prior authorizations for scheduled services
- Communicate with patients, physicians, and insurance payers
- Provide excellent customer service and support to patients and staff
- Document all authorizations accurately in our scheduling system
