About The Position

Easterseals Massachusetts is seeking a Full Time AAC Specialist to join their Assistive Technology team. In this role, the specialist will provide evaluation, consultation, training, and technical support services related to augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) for individuals of all ages and abilities. The position involves working in the community to ensure clients have access to effective communication tools tailored to their needs. Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
  • Valid/current professional license as a Speech Language Pathologist in Massachusetts
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Professional, collaborative, and flexible approach

Nice To Haves

  • Clinical Fellow’s with appropriate experience will be considered
  • 1–2 years of experience in AAC (preferred)
  • Experience with both children and adults; familiarity with intellectual and developmental disabilities is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive AAC evaluations and device trials
  • Develop and implement individualized communication plans with measurable goals
  • Provide training and education to clients, families, and caregivers on AAC strategies
  • Install and configure recommended AAC equipment
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with regulatory and agency standards
  • Utilize tools such as Salesforce, Microsoft Teams, and Outlook to manage caseloads and communication
  • Submit billing and paperwork promptly and accurately
