About The Position

Incumbent performs financial, compliance, and operational audits in accordance with accepted professional standards. Documents pertinent testing and results for further evaluation by Corporate Governance Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting
• One (1) year of audit experience
• No felony convictions or misdemeanors involving moral turpitude or issues of integrity
• Must be able to be licensed by the State of Connecticut, Division of Special Revenue

Responsibilities

• Independently performs the planning phase on assigned segments of an audit.
• Acquires and applies new skills and techniques (for example: analytical, financial and process analysis) to audits and ad hoc projects.
• Develops and executes detailed audit procedures, including performing fieldwork, testing and data analysis on transactions, documents, records, reports, and policies and procedures ensuring accuracy and effectiveness.
• Ensures that all work papers are complete, adequately referenced and sufficient to support all conclusions presented in the reports.
• Provides objective and professional descriptions of findings in the audit reports.
• Develops recommendations for corrective action/improvement.
• Provides assistance to external auditors as requested.
• Develops accurate, concise, comprehensive and complete risk and control matrices and flowcharts.
• Manages audit assignments within budgeted expectations
