About The Position

Ally Financial is seeking hardworking auditors who are constant learners and driven by curiosity. In this role, you will work within a collaborative agile environment, using critical thinking skills for completing assigned audit activities. An individual would need to be flexible and adaptable to constantly evolving demands and bring a results-oriented approach and a strong ability to learn. This role requires a hybrid presence out of the greater Charlotte, Dresher or Detroit areas (three times a week in office). Ally will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience
  • High school Diploma or GED equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant 4-degree or comparable combination of education and experience (including military service).
  • 2+ years of work experience in audit
  • Relevant certification (CIA, CPA, CISA, CAMS, CFE, etc.)
  • Experience using ACL and Teammate or other Computer Assisted Audit Techniques (CAATs)
  • A desire to creatively identify problems that potentially were not known to exist and provide solutions and/or recommendations.
  • Curiosity, passion, and the skills for technology.
  • Be open to feedback and be an active listener.
  • Analytical attitude – think before you leap.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Ally management and work cross-functionally while conducting individual audits.
  • Develop, complete, and document audit tests in accordance with Audit Services policies and procedures.
  • Use data literacy and analytics to provide consultation to management regarding emerging control practices.
  • Proactively communicate with management and peers to drive alignment and mitigate customer service issues before they occur.
  • Demonstrate inquisitiveness by proactively asking questions and challenging the status quo.
  • Perform ad hoc projects as assigned to assist with analyzing Ally’s risk and control environment.
  • Participate in Audit Transformation initiatives.
