About The Position

Jackson Thornton is seeking an Audit Supervisor to plan, execute, and supervise audit engagements. The role works closely with audit managers and partners to deliver high-quality audits on time and maintain strong client relationships. It requires hands-on technical expertise, leadership of field teams, and an understanding of utility accounting and regulatory environments. The Audit Supervisor supervises staff auditors, reviews work papers, and serves as a primary contact for client personnel during fieldwork. It is suited to a senior-level professional preparing for management responsibilities.

Requirements

CPA or CPA eligible.
3–5 years of public accounting audit experience.
Working knowledge of RUS and FERC accounting standards.
Proven ability to supervise staff and manage fieldwork.
Strong communication and client interaction skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience with construction and/or for-profit clients; preferred but not required.
Single Audit experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Plan and execute audit engagements for a variety of clients.
Supervise, train, and mentor audit staff; review work papers and provide constructive feedback.
Perform and review complex audit areas, including revenue, debt, capital credits, and regulatory accounting.
Apply knowledge of RUS and FERC Uniform System of Accounts.
Assist in Single Audits under Uniform Guidance, including major program determination and compliance testing.
Identify accounting and internal control issues and communicate findings to management.
Maintain audit quality, documentation standards, and timelines.
Collaborate with audit managers and partners on engagement planning and issue resolution.
