About The Position

CohnReznick is seeking motivated, high-achieving college students for an Audit Summer Internship in their Sacramento office for Summer 2028 (June-August). This role offers hands-on experience in accounting and auditing practices, exposure to diverse clients and industries, and mentorship. The firm helps organizations optimize performance, manage risk, and maximize value through assurance, advisory, and tax services. CohnReznick has offices nationwide and serves organizations globally as an independent member of Nexia. The internship is considered hybrid, with professionals encouraged to be in the office an average of 3 days a week for in-person collaboration.

Requirements

Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting
On track to complete 150 credit hours for CPA eligibility
Minimum 3.2 GPA in both your major and overall
Must have successfully completed Intermediate Accounting with a grade of B or higher
Leadership experience in student groups, activities, or team projects
Exhibit excellent communication skills and demonstrate sharp critical thinking
Comfortable navigating fast-paced environments and embracing change
Must have advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and eager to learn new technologies
Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident

Responsibilities

Work on all aspects of an audit engagement including cash, bank reconciliations, accounts payable, searching for unrecorded liabilities, maintaining confirmation logs, and preparing audit work papers.
Assist with audits, reviews, compilations, and accounting services.
Take part in resolving audit issues by obtaining evidence and making inquiries of clients while assisting the team with daily client workflow.
Team up with other interns and professionals for hands-on projects, building real-world skills while expanding your professional network.
