About The Position
This role involves working exclusively with nonprofit clients, actively participating in engagement planning, and designing engagement-specific audit approaches. The associate will perform and lead audit procedures in more complex financial statement areas, identify accounting, financial statement, and reporting issues based on professional guidelines including U.S. GAAP, and research accounting treatment for issues on nonprofit audit engagements, proposing solutions and consulting with experienced staff as necessary.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- Active CPA license or plans to pursue in the short term
- 2+ years of recent experience working with nonprofit clients
- Ability to travel on-site to clients as needed
- Live in the greater St. Paul/Minneapolis area
- Valid drivers license
Nice To Haves
- Experience preparing for, performing and/or leading Federal Single Audits preferred
