Requirements

Strong foundation in public accounting.
Experience in financial statement audits.
Experience in audit planning.
Experience in risk assessment.
Experience preparing or reviewing workpapers in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
Excellent communication skills.
Sound judgment.
Ownership mindset.
Genuine desire to build trusted relationships with both clients and teammates.

Nice To Haves

Experience serving Not-for-Profit organizations.

Experience with LIHTC.
Experience with HUD.
Experience with Rural Development.
Experience in other compliance-driven environments.
CPA certification, or progress toward certification.

Responsibilities

Serve as the quarterback on audit engagements, guiding projects from planning through completion.
Build trusted relationships with clients and become a go-to resource for their business and financial reporting needs.
Lead, coach, and develop staff while helping build high-performing engagement teams.
Navigate complex audit and compliance matters within the Not-for-Profit and Affordable Housing sectors.
Balance multiple engagements, priorities, and deadlines while delivering an exceptional client experience.
Collaborate closely with Managers, Senior Managers, and Shareholders, gaining exposure to the leadership and strategic side of the practice.
