About The Position

Guidehouse is currently seeking financial management professionals in support of our Department of Defense client. These teammates will bring a vast range of experiences across financial management, accounting, audit, internal controls, and financial policy. Our Guidehouse team will provide knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS), Internal Control Over Financial Reporting (ICOFR), DoD financial management policies and procedures and DoD organizational structures, financial audit statements and audit readiness services, understanding of Office of Management and Budget (OMB) policies and federal financial management systems, and understanding of DoD acquisition, inventory, property and material management.

Requirements

  • An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED "SECRET" Federal or DoD security clearance; candidates must have approved adjudication of clearance prior to onboarding with Guidehouse.
  • THREE (3) or more years' experience supporting a Department of War (DoW) financial management, internal control, audit remediation projects. Experience should include accounting, audit, budget, finance, internal controls, as well as other financial skillsets.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Business Management/Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Data Science; OR one of the following active and current certifications issued by appropriate licensing authority may be used in lieu of listed degree field: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM), Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM), Project Management Professional (PMP), Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or Business Management/Administration
  • Experience in Federal Accounting Standards Advisory Board (FASAB) Statement of Federal Financial Accounting Standards (SFFAS) 6 (Property, Plant and Equipment), 10 (Internal Use Software), 50 (Establishing Opening Balances for Property, Plant and Equipment) and/or 54 (Leases)
  • Experience in OMB Circular A-123 and/or A-136
  • Federal Financial Management or Federal Accounting experience supporting the Department(s) of the Air Force, Army, and/or Navy.
  • Currently possess one or more of the following certifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Program Management Professional (PMP), Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM), Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM)
