Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and operational oversight for the audit program across assigned Strategic Accounts projects and locations.
  • Partner directly with Production, Project Management, QA/QC, Training, and site leadership to develop and execute audit plans that support project milestones and turnover schedules.
  • Establish a clear audit operating structure that defines responsibilities, workflow, communication expectations, and escalation paths.
  • Coordinate auditor staffing and resource allocation based on project priorities, workload, schedule, ticket volume, and individual auditor competency.
  • Ensure the right auditors are assigned to the right work based on experience, qualifications, productivity, and technical competency.
  • Oversee the distribution of audit tickets to ensure workload is balanced and resources are being utilized efficiently.
  • Monitor ticket volume, aging, closure rates, productivity, and overall audit performance to identify bottlenecks and areas requiring additional support.
  • Drive timely ticket closeout by establishing expectations, monitoring progress, removing roadblocks, and coordinating with Production and project leadership when corrective action is required.
  • Develop and maintain audit performance metrics, dashboards, and reporting to provide leadership with visibility into audit progress, ticket closure, backlog, productivity, and project risk.
  • Establish measurable performance expectations for auditors, including productivity, accuracy, documentation quality, and ticket closure.
  • Identify trends in audit findings and communicate recurring deficiencies to QA/QC and Production leadership so corrective actions can be implemented before issues become systemic.
  • Work closely with Production leadership to ensure audit findings are communicated quickly and corrective work is properly prioritized and completed.
  • Support First Time Right initiatives by using audit data to identify repeat failures, installation trends, training gaps, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Partner with Training and QA/QC leadership to develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified auditors.
  • Assist in establishing auditor qualification requirements, competency assessments, field verification, mentoring, and ongoing development.
  • Ensure new auditors demonstrate the required technical knowledge and field competency before being authorized to audit independently.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and technical guidance to auditors, leads, supervisors, and other personnel involved in the audit process.
  • Standardize audit methods, documentation requirements, ticket classifications, troubleshooting practices, and closeout expectations across projects.
  • Ensure audit documentation is accurate, complete, professional, and compliant with E2 Optics and customer requirements.
  • Verify that audit findings accurately identify the deficiency, location, responsible scope, root cause when applicable, corrective action, and final resolution.
  • Work with QA/QC leadership to ensure customer quality requirements, specifications, SOPs, and lessons learned are incorporated into the audit process.
  • Participate in project planning, turnover, quality, and operational meetings as necessary to maintain visibility into upcoming audit requirements, schedule changes, risks, and customer priorities.
  • Proactively communicate audit risks, staffing concerns, ticket backlogs, recurring deficiencies, and potential schedule impacts to appropriate leadership.
  • Support incident reviews, root cause analysis, corrective action plans, and lessons learned when audit findings identify significant or recurring quality issues.
  • Maintain a strong field presence and verify that audit processes are being executed consistently across projects and shifts.
  • Promote collaboration between QA/QC and Production and reinforce that successful auditing and project turnover are shared responsibilities.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that increase audit efficiency, ticket closure rates, First Pass Yield, First Time Right performance, and overall project quality.
  • Support continuous improvement of audit tools, reporting, workflows, and technology.
  • Travel between project locations as required to support audit operations, training, project recovery, customer priorities, and program needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
