Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA required.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in audit, with a focus on consumer products or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of auditing standards, accounting principles, and financial regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Leadership and team management experience.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in using auditing tools and software.

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive audit plans based on a thorough understanding of the business processes and associated risks.
  • Execute audits in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Identify and assess key control points and ensure the adequacy of internal controls.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential areas of concern and evaluate the effectiveness of existing controls.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business processes and associated risks.
  • Perform detailed financial analysis to identify anomalies, discrepancies, or areas of improvement.
  • Assess financial statements for accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Communicate audit findings and recommendations to senior management in a clear and concise manner.
  • Collaborate with business partners to provide guidance on control improvements and risk mitigation.
  • Lead a team of auditors, providing guidance, coaching, and support while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting professional development within the team.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency within the audit function.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in auditing.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards while staying abreast of changes in regulatory requirements and incorporating them into audit processes.
