About The Position

At Swindoll, Janzen, Hawk & Loyd (SJHL), we’re building a firm where Audit Managers can lead meaningful client relationships, develop their teams, and still maintain a life outside of work. We’re intentional about workload and sustainability—our goal is a more balanced busy season, not the typical 60–80 hour grind. You’ll work directly with local clients and decision-makers, not through layers. This role offers a real leadership opportunity to manage engagements, develop team members, and influence outcomes within a strong, collaborative team environment. There is a variety of work across audit, with exposure to CAS and advisory depending on your interests.

Requirements

• Over five years' of public accounting audit experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• Active CPA
• Takes ownership and enjoys developing others

Nice To Haves

• Experience with EBPs & Non-Profit a plus!

Responsibilities

• Lead audit engagements from planning through completion
• Build and manage strong client relationships with local organizations and businesses
• Review financial statements and related disclosures
• Coach, mentor, and develop associates and seniors
• Manage engagement timelines, budgets, and overall client experience
• Partner with firm leadership to continuously improve processes and client service
