The Audit Manager is responsible for maintaining a high level of productivity among department subordinates through careful supervision, including training, disciplining, evaluating, and making recommendations on hiring, firing, and promoting staff. This role ensures the efficient functioning of the department by scheduling and monitoring work activities, adhering to the Audit Plan and Budget, and ensuring audits are performed properly. The manager will also oversee the instruction of new audit staff, stay abreast of regulatory requirements, track audit findings, and ensure personnel are adequately trained. Additionally, this role involves performance management, administration of the audit management solution, and staying current with emerging technologies and audit practices. The Audit Manager will design and improve department processes, develop efficient approaches for data collection and analysis, and demonstrate in-depth knowledge of internal audit practices. This role also includes creating and updating department procedures, assisting with Audit Committee packages and regulatory filings, and monitoring external audits.
