About The Position

Aldrich CPAs and Advisors is seeking an Audit Manager to join their team, focusing on clients in the Architecture & Engineering (A&E) industry. This role involves managing audit, review, and compilation engagements from start to finish, acting as a trusted advisor to clients. The position is full-time, based in the Lake Oswego office, with hybrid work options available. The Audit Manager will collaborate with clients and internal teams, build client relationships, and contribute to business development. Requirements

  • 4+ years of recent experience in public accounting with a primary focus on audit
  • Strong understanding of audit and attest services, GAAP, and FASB standards
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
  • Successful completion of the CPA exam or an active CPA license
  • Ability to lead and develop staff and seniors
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and research skills
  • Experience managing client relationships and engagement teams
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship

Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage audit, review, and compilation engagements from planning through completion
  • Coordinate service delivery and manage all aspects of client engagements
  • Serve as a technical resource for staff and seniors and provide guidance on complex accounting and audit matters
  • Review engagement workpapers and financial statements for accuracy, quality, and compliance with professional standards
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and timely, high-quality service
  • Lead, coach, and mentor staff and seniors through training, performance feedback, and development opportunities
  • Manage engagement economics, including budgets, billings, collections, and client fees
  • Identify opportunities to expand client relationships and participate in business development and networking activities
  • Contribute to process improvements and innovative approaches that enhance the client and employee experience
