Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting.
  • Valid CPA license and member in good standing with AICPA.
  • 5+ years of experience in public accounting, with a preference for governmental experience.
  • Proven track record of effective communication, management, and supervision skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and enthusiastically, with a sense of urgency.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional education and competency enhancement.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Manager in our Nashville office, overseeing a full spectrum of audit, review, and compilation engagements.
  • Plan, supervise, and complete routine engagements, ensuring quality control and adherence to time constraints and deadlines.
  • Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships, contributing to the firm's growth through new business and expanded services to existing clients.
  • Lead and mentor staff, providing constructive feedback on job performance and guiding career development.
  • Identify and assess weaknesses in internal control systems, perform detailed testing and analysis, and prepare financial statements.
  • Research technical accounting issues and provide consultation and solutions to partners and senior management.
  • Supervise and mentor staff, providing feedback on performance and career progression.
  • Plan, supervise, and complete multiple engagements, ensuring the highest level of service and professionalism.
  • Cultivate and nurture relationships within the firm and with clients to support business development and client retention.
  • Collaborate with other managers and partners to support the firm's objectives and service delivery.
  • Perform a broad range of accounting duties and assume full responsibility for the execution of routine engagements.
  • Manage time effectively to meet deadlines and client expectations.
  • Oversee client relationships, manage multiple engagements, and coordinate the delivery of various services.
  • Drive growth for the firm through new business development and expanding services to existing clients.
  • Conduct detailed testing and analysis, examine complex accounting systems, and understand statistical sampling.
  • Provide counsel and advice to employees, evaluate performance, and oversee training and development.
