About The Position

HireNow Staffing is actively recruiting a seasoned, highly skilled Audit Manager to join one of our valued client partners in Lincolnshire, Illinois. This opportunity is designed for an experienced public accounting professional who has successfully led complex audit engagements, developed high-performing audit teams, and built lasting client relationships. The ideal candidate is a confident leader with exceptional technical expertise in both for-profit and nonprofit audits and a proven ability to independently manage multiple client engagements from planning through completion.

Requirements

  • 6–10+ years of progressive public accounting audit experience
  • Prior Audit Manager experience within a public accounting firm
  • Minimum of three (3) years serving as an Audit Manager at your current firm
  • Active CPA license in good standing
  • Extensive experience leading both for-profit and nonprofit audit engagements
  • Proven ability to independently manage multiple audit engagements
  • Strong technical accounting and auditing knowledge
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and client relationship management skills
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and project management abilities
  • U.S.-based applicants only

Responsibilities

  • Lead audit and review engagements from initial planning through final delivery
  • Oversee audit and review services for both for-profit and nonprofit organizations
  • Supervise, mentor, coach, and develop senior and junior audit professionals
  • Review workpapers, financial statements, audit reports, and engagement documentation
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned audit clients
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships through proactive communication
  • Partner with Audit leadership to coordinate engagement planning, staffing, and scheduling
  • Monitor engagement budgets, timelines, profitability, and overall project performance
  • Ensure compliance with professional auditing standards and firm quality requirements
  • Identify opportunities to improve engagement efficiency and client service
