The Audit Manager I executes audits for an assigned business, function or project as part of a team or as an individual contributor and/or provides expertise on audits ranging in complexity. This role may lead moderately complex audits and have responsibility for completion of the audit. The role will utilize AI and emerging technologies to enhance audit planning, testing, reporting and operational efficiency. The Audit Manager I will work as an audit subject matter expert and may coach and educate others. They will oversee and/or independently perform audits from end to end, and may lead moderately complex audits with responsibility for their completion. This role may also undertake and complete a variety of projects and initiatives, potentially including the integration of cross-functional processes within their area of expertise. The ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion is essential. Generally, this role leads a team focused on assigned audits, providing supervision and assignments to team members as Auditor in Charge, reviewing work papers, and drafting audit reports. Responsibilities include managing time and staffing budgets for upcoming audits, planning audits, and maintaining contact with management regarding audit scope, status, and findings. The role may perform testing procedures for more critical areas of audits, provide on-the-job training for staff, and supervise findings follow-up tasks with management and audit staff. The Audit Manager I may also serve as Auditor in Charge on an audit, participate in or lead assigned special projects, and provide feedback on staff performance on an audit project basis.
