CliftonLarsonAllen (CLA) is seeking an Audit Director or Audit Manager to join its Professional Services Industry team in the Carolantaville region. This role is based in the office and can be located in Atlanta, Nashville, Charlotte, Raleigh, or Winston-Salem. The position involves serving as a key client advisor, delivering audit services to professional services organizations, providing business insights, and assisting clients in navigating complex challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in a large professional services or public accounting firm, driving strategic management.
  • CPA license certification is required.
  • Ability to help others and lead a team of high-performing people.
  • Skill in solving issues and confidently bringing solutions to the table.
  • Enjoy working with clients to help their businesses succeed strategically.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee audit and assurance engagements for professional services clients, guiding teams through all phases of the engagement lifecycle while delivering exceptional client service and value.
  • Drive engagement strategy, including planning, staffing, budgeting, and execution, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, on time, and aligned with client expectations.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and key decision-maker for client engagements, proactively communicating progress, recommendations, and significant developments to Engagement Principals and client leadership.
  • Build, mentor, and develop high-performing teams by recruiting top talent, providing coaching and technical guidance, managing performance, and supporting professional growth opportunities.
  • Cultivate strong client relationships by discussing engagement objectives, scope, timelines, and fees, ensuring a seamless experience from engagement letter through final deliverables.
  • Review and enhance audit programs and internal control evaluations, providing technical oversight and ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance.
  • Monitor engagement performance, budgets, and deadlines while identifying opportunities to improve processes, deliver insights, and create meaningful value for clients.
  • Facilitate impactful client meetings, presenting findings, recommendations, and strategic insights that help organizations make informed business decisions.
