About The Position

The internship is with Larson Gross, a partner firm, and offers hands-on experience in financial auditing, risk assessment, and client service. The program aims to develop foundational skills for a career in assurance and public accounting, with interns working alongside experienced professionals, contributing to audit engagements, and participating in training and professional development.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Interest in a career in audit, assurance, or public accounting.
• Strong academic performance.
• Curiosity and a genuine willingness to learn.

• Clear communication and an ability to collaborate with others.

Nice To Haves

• Intention to pursue CPA licensure preferred.
• Previous accounting or internship experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with substantive audit procedures and testing.
• Prepare and document audit workpapers.
• Review and analyze financial information to identify trends or inconsistencies.
• Participate in walkthroughs of financial and operational processes.
• Learn about internal controls, risk assessment, and financial reporting.
• Work alongside associates, senior associates, managers, and other professionals on client engagements.
• Ask questions, receive feedback, and develop technical and professional skills.
• Participate in training, networking, and other professional development opportunities.
• Build experience with technology, automation, AI, and data analytics tools used within the accounting profession.
