About The Position

Crowe is seeking an Audit Intern for their Winter Internship program (January-March). This internship offers in-depth exposure to the auditing profession, allowing interns to learn about the day-to-day responsibilities of an auditor. Interns will receive guidance from experienced audit professionals and gain exposure to current industry issues. The role involves sharpening analytical skills by auditing client financials, transactions, and internal control processes. Interns will work both independently and collaboratively with a diverse team of audit professionals, utilizing advanced audit tools and technologies that employ data analytics, visualizations, and process automation. Interns will have the opportunity to work on diverse client engagements across various industries, including manufacturing and distribution, not-for-profit, government, healthcare, education, construction, dealerships, food and agriculture, insurance, and financial institutions. They may also work on benefit plan audits such as 401(k), pension, or employee stock ownership plans. The team culture is collaborative, encouraging initiative and on-the-job learning. Audit winter internships typically require a full-time workload of 40 hours per week during business hours, with potential exceptions.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's and/or Master's in Accounting or similar degree
  • CPA Eligibility: Scheduled to meet the educational requirements to obtain a CPA license.
  • Proficient with Excel
  • Strong academic credentials
  • Relevant work experience (e.g. internships, summer positions, school jobs)
  • Demonstrated leadership, problem solving, and strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work on multiple assignments
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment with professionals of all levels
  • Desire to travel
  • Available to work/travel evenings or weekends if needed (Saturday and/or Sunday)
