Requirements
- Completion of at least one semester of an intermediate-level accounting class
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and other computer skills
- Interest in pursuing a career in public accounting and sitting for the CPA exam

- Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or accounting systems
- Have completed at least one semester of intermediate accounting

Responsibilities
- Assist on audit engagements across multiple industries, including for‑profit, nonprofit, and ERISA/benefit plan clients
- Perform audit testing procedures, such as: Participant data testing and contribution testing (ERISA/401(k)), Cash testing, payroll testing, investment testing, and analytical procedures, Substantive testing, rollforwards, and compliance testing
- Help prepare and update audit documentation and workpapers, often referencing prior‑year files
- Gain exposure to on‑site audit work, including interacting with client personnel and observing audit procedures in real time
- Use audit software and tools such as CaseWare, XCM, ShareFile, client portals, and Excel
- Learn how audit teams plan, execute, and review engagements from start to finish
