About The Position

This is a Summer 2027 Audit Intern position with Sikich's State Audit team, offering a hybrid work arrangement in Springfield, IL. As an intern, you will gain an understanding of the audit process, analyze and test key elements of State agency financial statements and operations, establish working relationships with client personnel, collaborate with team members, and work on various audit project tasks. Requirements

  • Sophomore, Junior, or Senior status at time of internship
  • Engaged in an accounting, cost accounting, or auditing program at a college or university
  • Interested in pursuing CPA credentials
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a varied team
  • An interest in auditing
  • Experienced in Microsoft Suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
