About The Position

The Audit & Assurance Intern position at Larson Gross offers an opportunity to gain practical experience in public accounting. Interns will work alongside experienced professionals, contributing to audit engagements and developing foundational skills in financial auditing, risk assessment, and client service. Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Interest in a career in audit, assurance, or public accounting.
• Strong academic performance.
• Curiosity and a genuine willingness to learn.

• Clear communication and an ability to collaborate with others.

Responsibilities

• Assist with substantive audit procedures and testing.
• Prepare and document audit workpapers.
• Review and analyze financial information to identify trends or inconsistencies.
• Participate in walkthroughs of financial and operational processes.
• Learn about internal controls, risk assessment, and financial reporting.
• Work alongside associates, senior associates, managers, and other professionals on client engagements.
• Ask questions, receive feedback, and develop technical and professional skills.
• Participate in training, networking, and other professional development opportunities.
• Build experience with technology, automation, AI, and data analytics tools used within the accounting profession.
