About The Position

Clark builds AI that performs audit fieldwork and is used by 30 CPA firms. The Audit Consultant helps firms implement and use Clark on real engagements, supports audit teams as they adapt their workflows to automated fieldwork, and shares customer feedback with Product and Engineering so the product can be improved. The role combines public accounting expertise and ongoing customer engagement with close collaboration on software development. The position is based in the New York City office five days a week. The company describes its startup environment as fast-moving, with long hours, little hierarchy, and shared ownership of building and results.

Requirements

At least 3 years of audit experience.
Strong knowledge of audit methodology and how engagement teams perform audit work.
Comfort managing several customer relationships at the same time.
Interest in technology and in exploring AI's applications to audit.

Nice To Haves

Experience at a Big 4 or Top 25 accounting firm.
CPA credential.
Experience using audit software or tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, or SQL.
Experience working on an innovation project at an accounting firm.
Implementation or consulting experience.

Responsibilities

Learn how each firm conducts audits and help set up and launch Clark.
Work with partners, managers, and staff to rethink workflow as some fieldwork becomes automated.
Hold weekly check-ins with firms and help with pilots for new releases.
Document customer problems as Linear issues and follow them through resolution.
Work with Product and Engineering to determine what to build next.
Improve the onboarding process for new firms as the company grows.
