Requirements

  • Must have a reliable cell phone for occasional calls or text messages during events.
  • High School diploma and 1 year of experience providing audiovisual support in classrooms or similar environment or for live events required Or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Basic proficiency in modern computer programs (Microsoft Office, Google Apps, etc.) required
  • Strong problem solving skills required
  • Excellent customer service skills required
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively required

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the safe and appropriate set up, installation, operation, testing, troubleshooting and teardown of audio and video equipment for live events, including projectors, microphones, speakers, cameras and lighting.
  • Communicates with clients to understand technical needs.
  • Coordinates delivery and setup of audiovisual (AV) needs for events and classes.
  • Operates AV equipment.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves technical issues that may arise during the event.
  • Performs routine maintenance and repairs on equipment as needed.
  • Ensures equipment is not damaged during use and is returned to its proper storage locations.
  • Acts as a resource for students and staff to address questions or issues.
  • Assists with developing detailed and consistent documentation for department processes and policies.
  • Assists department with basic clerical work, including scheduling, organization, training and other related tasks.
  • Other duties as assigned.
