About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Audiovisual Installation Project Coordinator to oversee and coordinate audiovisual installation projects in the commercial hospitality sector and some high end residential. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in the installation and commissioning of AV systems, with a solid understanding of commercial AV products and project management processes. The role requires the ability to coordinate across multiple teams, manage logistics, ensure quality installations, and maintain effective communication with clients, outside labor resources, and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in commercial AV system installations, with a strong understanding of both hardware and software components.
  • Proven experience in a project coordination or field installation role in the AV industry, with a demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Strong understanding of commercial AV products (DSPs, control systems, audio/video equipment, etc.) and their installation/operation.
  • Proficiency in using project management tools with Microsoft Teams & D-Tools and basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, colleagues, and third-party vendors.
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Willingness to work in a variety of commercial environments, including conference rooms, auditoriums, and corporate offices.
  • Ability to travel to client sites as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic programming skills for DSPs and control systems (e.g., Crestron, AMX, Extron) are highly preferred.
  • CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) or other relevant AV certifications are a plus but not required.
  • Experience with specific AV manufacturers (e.g., Crestron, Extron, Biamp, QSC) is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple AV installation projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Coordinate with project managers, clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure all aspects of the installation are well-organized and executed.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to update on project progress and resolve any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Provide onsite support for the installation and setup of commercial AV systems, including displays, projectors, audio systems, video conferencing equipment, control systems, and other related technologies.
  • Supervise and assist installation teams, ensuring adherence to safety standards and best practices during all stages of the installation process.
  • Apply knowledge of commercial AV products, including DSPs (Digital Signal Processors), control systems (Crestron, AMX, etc.), and video/audio components to ensure successful integration and operation.
  • Support in troubleshooting system setup issues, offering guidance to installation technicians and ensuring optimal functionality of installed systems.
  • Assist in the configuration and basic programming of DSPs and control systems (Crestron, Extron, or similar platforms), ensuring seamless integration and control of audiovisual systems.
  • Support in testing and fine-tuning AV systems to ensure they perform at the highest quality levels.
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting of project milestones, installation schedules, and any issues encountered during the installation process.
  • Maintain detailed records of installation processes, system configurations, and client communications.
  • Perform quality control checks on completed installations, ensuring that all systems meet company standards and client specifications.
  • Conduct final system testing, system calibration, and user training to ensure smooth handover to the client.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients during the installation phase, ensuring customer satisfaction and resolving any concerns that may arise during the project.
