About The Position

Under the general supervision of the Director of Operations, the Audiology Technician supports Audiologists by performing delegated audiology-related tasks. This role provides technical assistance to patients, including troubleshooting hearing instruments and assistive listening devices, while ensuring a high level of patient care across all age groups from neonate to geriatric populations. The Audiology Technician also maintains strong relationships with patients, vendors, and clinical staff.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
Minimum of two years of experience in an audiology or ENT clinic preferred
Experience with hearing aids and dispensing programs preferred
Working knowledge of the auditory system and auditory rehabilitation
Knowledge of CPT and ICD coding and medical terminology
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and clinic needs

Responsibilities

Support Audiologists in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and clinical protocols
Perform hearing screenings and prepare patients for diagnostic testing
Prepare and sanitize exam rooms between patient visits and ensure adequate supply levels
Document patient encounters and assist with report preparation
Educate patients on the proper use and care of hearing aids and assistive devices
Power down and maintain clinical equipment at the end of each day
Track equipment and supply orders to ensure timely availability for patient appointments
Maintain accurate clinic records related to hearing aids, earmolds, repairs, and inventory
Provide technical support to patients experiencing issues with hearing devices
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient clinic operations
