About The Position

Hearing Healthcare Associates, a DBA of Audiology Center Inc, is a highly regarded audiology practice in Southwestern Washington and Northern Idaho, with over 40 years of experience. They are seeking a long-term, full-time audiologist to join their team. The practice emphasizes audiology services and is a Center of Specialty Care for the American Institute of Balance (AIB), offering additional training and mentorship. The role requires dependability, hard work, and strong interpersonal communication skills with patients, families, and the team. Proficiency in hearing evaluation and hearing aid treatment is essential. Vestibular evaluation and cerumen removal skills are preferred. The Audiologist will be responsible for evaluating and diagnosing, coordinating and providing care, education and counseling, and dispensing hearing aids, all while building lasting relationships of trust with patients through accessible, compassionate, and honest care.

Requirements

Au.D. or Master's degree in Audiology
Eligible for Washington State licensure (Idaho licensure a plus)
Proficiency in hearing evaluation and hearing aid treatment
Strong interpersonal, communication, and patient-facing skills
Must be able to travel to other office locations or outside the state for professional and team development training as required by the practice

Responsibilities

Evaluating & Diagnosis: Comprehensive audiometric testing including speech-in-noise and visual reinforcement audiometry, Video head impulse, Otoacoustic emissions, Auditory steady-state response, Videonystagmography, Electrocochleography, Rotary Chair, Video head impulse, Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo, Auditory brainstem response (neurodiagnostic and threshold seeking), Ocular and cervical vestibular evoked myogenic potentials.
Coordinating & Providing Care: Report writing, with recommendations for the referring physician as appropriate. Timely maintenance of patient records by recording and updating evaluations, changes, progress, and treatments in EHR. Improve quality results by studying and evaluating processes; investigating research programs; evaluating new equipment, devices, and techniques.
Education & Counseling: Compassionate interpersonal communication and tactful bedside manner when discussing evaluation and treatment recommendations. Willingness to coordinate and collaborate with the patient, their referring physician, and those they have elected, to support them as they adapt to changes in their health. Ability to inform and explain the complexity of patient conditions adapted to their comfort level.
Hearing Aid Dispensing: Provides hearing aid dispensing, including selection, fitting, ear-mold acoustics, and ongoing management with follow-up and education. Performs hearing aid repairs.
