Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Audiology.
  • Current licensure by the Georgia State Board of Speech/Language Pathology and Audiology.
  • Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Doctorate in Audiology.
  • Previous clinical experience.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Audiology granted by the American Speech –Language-Hearing Association or previously holding certification; or meets the educational requirements for certification and is in the process of accumulating the supervised experience required for certification with completion of CCC in one year.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies, evaluates and rehabilitates audiological disorders and hearing loss in patients, which may include infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatric patients according to clinical competency.
  • The duties of this position require patient and family education and the exercise of courtesy and patience in speaking with and assisting patients, families, medical personnel and others in order to provide quality customer service.
