About The Position

WIHD's Speech & Hearing Center is seeking a compassionate and skilled Audiologist to join their team serving infants, children, and adults. This part-time position offers flexible hours and the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, utilize advanced diagnostic technologies, and collaborate with leading healthcare partners. The role involves making a meaningful difference in patients' and families' lives, with a focus on pediatric audiology, hearing technology, diagnostic services, or serving individuals with developmental disabilities. Requirements

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited institution.
  • NY State licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure as an Audiologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or equivalent certification.
  • Strong knowledge of audiological diagnostic procedures, assessment techniques, and treatment options.
  • Proficient in using sophisticated audiological equipment and specialized software for testing and analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex audiological concepts to patients of all ages.
  • Empathetic and patient-focused approach to address the emotional and psychological aspects of hearing loss.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience providing audiology services across the age range.
