About The Position

Canadian Hearing Services (CHS) has an opening for an Audiologist, based in Ottawa, to join our provincial network of hearing health professionals. Reporting to the Manager, Hearing Aid Clinics, the Audiologist is responsible for the identification, assessment, and management of auditory difficulties, including dispensing of hearing aids, for children and adults. This is a permanent, full-time unionized position, working onsite Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. This posting is for an existing vacancy.

Requirements

  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Audiology
  • Registered with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO)
  • Authorizer with the Assistive Devices Program (ADP) of Ontario
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ related work experience
  • Strong background in conducting diagnostic hearing evaluations
  • Experience prescribing and dispensing hearing aids and FM systems
  • Ability to handle a busy clinical environment with the ability to manage a varied workload with competing priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Internet and electronic clinical management, and NOAH software
  • Legally eligible for employment in Canada
  • Vaccines (COVID and others) are a requirement of the job unless you have an exemption on a medical ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code.

  • Minimal coverage at neighbouring clinics may occasionally be required.

Responsibilities
