About The Position

Mass General Brigham Medical Group is seeking a 32-hour Audiologist to support their Head and Neck specialty practice located at 361 High Street, Somersworth, New Hampshire. This is an onsite position within a busy outpatient setting, with the option of a four-day workweek. The role includes built-in administrative time and focuses primarily on conducting audiograms and providing comprehensive audiology services to patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric populations. The Audiologist will typically see approximately 8 patients per day, with appointments averaging 40–50 minutes. This role involves working closely with two surgeons and two additional medical providers, as part of a collaborative team that includes two audiologists. Scheduling support is provided, allowing the focus to remain on patient care. The practice's mission is providing state-of-the-art medical and surgical care for patients with disorders of the ears, nose, and throat, treating conditions such as nasal and sinus disease, sleep disorders, allergies, asthma, hearing loss, chronic ear infections, and ENT cancer.

Requirements

  • Doctorate Audiology required
  • Audiologist [State License] - required
  • Basic Life Support [BLS] - preferred
  • Audiology or Hearing Testing experience 1-2 years preferred
  • Strong patient/customer service skills.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • DPOAE, ABR, ENG/VNG, hearing aid evaluation, dispensing and follow-up, and using electronic health records for documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for selecting and fitting hearing aids for customers.
  • Administers and interprets tests of hearing.
  • Assesses hearing instrument efficacy.
  • Takes ear impressions and prepares, designs, and modifies ear molds.
  • Cochlear implant evaluations and programming.
  • Tinnitus evaluations, counseling, and treatment.
  • Monitor patients' progress and provide ongoing observation of hearing or balance status.
  • Fit, dispense, and repair assistive devices, such as hearing aids.
  • Educates patients, caregivers, and family members on treatment options and continuing care.
  • Research causes and potential treatments for hearing and balance disorders.
