About The Position

Atrius Health, part of the Optum family of businesses, is an innovative health care leader and multi-specialty group practice serving adult and pediatric patients at 28 locations in eastern Massachusetts. Providers and ancillary clinicians work collaboratively in a value-based group practice and with hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and nursing facilities. The Audiologist conducts diagnostic assessments and develops individualized care plans for patients with hearing, balance, and tinnitus concerns. New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

Doctor of Audiology or Master's in audiology.
Certified or certification-eligible for the Certificate of Clinical Competence by the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association.
State of Massachusetts license in audiology.

Nice To Haves

American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
Three or more years of professional experience working with people with hearing impairment across various ages.

Responsibilities

Conduct audiograms and other tests, including video nystagmography (VNG) and Video Head Impulse Test (vHit), for pediatric and adult patients to identify the type and severity of hearing loss, balance disorders, and tinnitus.
Develop individualized treatment plans, including recommending appropriate amplification or assistive listening devices, providing tinnitus counseling, and reviewing communication strategies.
Select and fit custom musician, swim, and sleep plugs.
Obtain comprehensive case histories through patient interviews and/or review of medical records.
Prepare a written report for each visit to document patient care.
