About The Position

Avita Health System is seeking a dedicated Audiologist to join our Speech & Audiology Department at our Galion location. The Audiologist will be responsible for the administration and direct application of Audiology treatment modalities as prescribed by a referring physician. This role involves evaluating, planning, directing, and treating patients referred for Audiology treatments to restore function and prevent disability following disease or injury. The Audiologist will assist patients in achieving maximum performance and function in society, learn to live a routine "normal" life within the constraints of their disability, and provide instruction on aspects of Audiology as necessary. Additionally, the role includes assisting in coordinating the patient experience for Audiology evaluation on an organizational basis.

Requirements

Master’s degree or Doctorate in Audiology.
Current State of Ohio Audiology license and department license to dispense hearing aids.
BLS certification or obtained within thirty (30) days of hire.
Performance of technical skills related to Audiology.

Nice To Haves

Certificate of competence from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association.
At least three years of clinical experience.
