About The Position

Performs audiological evaluations utilizing appropriate diagnostic tests to identify individuals with hearing loss. Provides rehabilitation/habilitation of individuals with hearing impairment. Evaluates and treats patients ranging in age from newborns through geriatrics. Counsels patients and/or their families as to test results and recommended treatment plans. Communicates results and management plans orally and in writing to physicians, educational planners, other health care professionals and federal agencies. Ensures quality patient care by adhering to patient privacy and confidentiality regulations.

Requirements

Master's degree in Audiology or equivalent.
Current licensure as an Audiologist in the state of practice.
Experience in performing a wide range of audiological diagnostic tests.
Knowledge of hearing loss rehabilitation and habilitation techniques.
Ability to work with patients of all ages, from newborns to geriatrics.
Strong counseling and communication skills.
Familiarity with patient privacy and confidentiality regulations (e.g., HIPAA).

Nice To Haves

Doctorate in Audiology (Au.D.).
Experience with specialized audiological equipment.
Bilingual abilities.
