Requirements

  • A Master’s Degree in Audiology or Hearing Instrument Specialist Certification
  • Registration in good standing with the applicable Provincial College or professional association
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment

Responsibilities

  • Conducting comprehensive audiological assessments
  • Recommending Assistive Listening Devices
  • Performing hearing instrument evaluations and fittings
  • Providing ongoing client follow-ups and instrument checks
  • Cerumen management (if within your scope of practice)
  • Offering counseling and aural rehabilitation
  • Conducting diagnostic testing for ENT specialists (if applicable)
  • Mentor students and new staff
  • Stay on top of professional credentials and continued education
  • Engage with the community through presentations and marketing initiatives
