Under the general direction of the Audio-Visual Engineering Manager, the Audio-Visual Engineer is responsible for the management of Information Technology (IT) collaboration platforms, including audio, visual, messaging, and document sharing solutions. This role involves delivering audio-visual and video conferencing services, troubleshooting as necessary, and demonstrating independent judgment and discretion, especially during confidential meetings. The Audio-Visual Engineer acts as a team player, fostering continuous learning and performance improvement, and may provide end-user training on video conferencing solutions. The position requires defining requirements for audio-visual and video collaboration events, administering enterprise collaboration systems, managing audio-visual equipment and video conferencing solutions, performing routine maintenance, and handling system updates and upgrades. Collaboration with clients to ensure proper functioning and configuration of video conferencing solutions for meetings and events is key. Maintaining accurate equipment inventory, maintenance schedules, and lifecycle management, including software updates, is also a responsibility. The role involves managing video conferencing solutions for optimal performance, providing technical support, troubleshooting, and training, and suggesting future enhancements. Ensuring seamless integration of updates and upgrades into existing solutions and managing the day-to-day operations of support teams to ensure operational readiness and effective resource utilization are critical. Safeguarding protected health information and maintaining professional growth are also expected. This role integrates security requirements and best practices into IT operations and performs other assigned duties.
