About The Position

The Audio Visual Assistant will be responsible for the delivery and pickup of A/V equipment on campus. This role involves providing instruction on the proper use and setup of audio/visual equipment, operating sound systems, and performing simple maintenance as required. The A/V Assistant will work directly with students, faculty, and staff, and perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. The position requires dependability, a high attention to detail, and availability for a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends. Responsibilities include the setup, operation, and breakdown of A/V equipment on the Mercer University Atlanta campus. Excellent customer service skills are essential due to direct interaction with faculty, staff, and students.

Requirements

• Must be dependable.

• Must be available to work a flexible schedule, to include evenings & weekends.
• Excellent customer service skills are required.
• Computer experience a plus.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with LCD projectors, DVD players, simple audio systems and other multimedia equipment preferred but not required. Training may be provided.
