Audio-Video Technician – CRADLE Position

About The Position

We are currently searching for a full-time, detail-oriented Audio-Visual Technician to support world-class in-person and virtual events in the CRADLE at our headquarters in Reston VA. The CRADLE is CACI’s Premiere Center for Research, Application, Development, Learning and Engagement. You will interact daily with C-Suite and senior-level management inside and sometimes outside the company, often while dealing with technical issues and responding to them. Along with managing activities within the CRADLE, this role also coordinates with multiple other groups and individuals for upcoming use of the space and their needs during these events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree plus five years of relevant experience, or comparable experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Teams and Zoom collaboration software suites is required.
  • Strong ability to work independently and quickly resolve issues in a highly visible position.
  • Good understanding of when to call other team members to assist in problem resolution.
  • Potential candidates must be able to demonstrate excellent customer service skills with a high attention to detail, as well as technical proficiency in a variety of collaboration platforms.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using a Crestron-based system is preferable but not required.
  • Basic server installation, administration, and networking skills is a nice to have skillset.

Responsibilities

  • Managing and maintaining our Reston, VA CRADLE conference rooms and environments, including screens, TVs, cameras, speakers, microphones, any necessary DSP setups, VTC/AV control surfaces, and assisting users with all the above.
  • Managing control systems and equipment for video conferencing, live streaming, networked lighting systems using predesigned scenes, and event audio using wired and wireless microphones.
  • Assisting CRADLE leadership with configuration setup or takedown of event space based on the needs of the customer.
  • Regular health checks of all equipment and inputs to ensure constant uptime of event space, and effective management and tracking/mitigation of issues as they are discovered.
  • Secondary responsibilities will include working with other AV Engineers in supporting executive conference rooms or other conference spaces within the headquarters building.
