About The Position

The Audio and Video Technician - Part-time Staff position is responsible for providing excellent guest experience at T-Mobile Center events by assisting in the planning, operation, and maintenance of audio, visual, and lighting systems. This role is primarily operational and technical, assisting in event-based production. The position requires a flexible, part-time work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

• A minimum education level of: Bachelor of Arts/Sciences Degree or a year of related work experience.
• Must be able to manage multiple tasks and projects.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including high degree of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Ability to communicate effectively, developing and maintaining positive working relationships.

Nice To Haves

• Video editing, animation, and graphic creation proficiency preferred.
• Specific experience as it relates to video/scoreboard production in a 16,000+ seat sports and entertainment facility.
• Experience organizing and directing event production requirements for sporting and entertainment arena events preferred.
• Knowledge and previous experience working with NBA, NHL/AHL, NCAA (hockey and basketball), FELD Entertainment, AEG Live, Live Nation and other concert and family show promoters preferred.
• At least 1 year of event-based production experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in determining equipment and service requirements for events.
• Set up, operate, and strike professional audio, visual, lighting, and other equipment per event.
• Maintain professional audio, visual, and lighting equipment, making minor repairs and adjustments or reporting the need for repairs.
• Operate audio-visual equipment and other production equipment.
• Supervise tasks as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
