About The Position

Perform a variety of technical tasks for Dance and New Media, including using lighting, audio/video and camera equipment, and streaming for stage dance productions and studio/classroom use. Maintain departmental equipment and storage, monitor pick-up and drop-off services, and provide technical support, including equipment repair and installation and delivery and retrieval for stage and classroom use. Operate a wide variety of media equipment, including specialized equipment requiring significant training. Operate equipment during dance productions, including streaming performances. Capture, archive, and circulate production footage, and perform skilled equipment maintenance and repairs. The position is 100% on-site.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience with A/V technology, camera and film equipment, and projectors.
• Demonstrated knowledge of streaming and production practices.
• Ability to set up, operate, and troubleshoot audio reinforcement, video playback, intercom systems, Mac OS computers, QLab software, ATEM, and OBS.
• Ability to learn new technologies.

Nice To Haves

• A/V certification.
• Prior experience coordinating the work of production crews.
• Experience with sound and video design for live performances; dance experience is preferable.
• Audio editing and live mixing.
• Video editing.
• Experience with Isadora software and streaming software.
